Vera is a small town with a population of approximately 15,000 people that was completely rebuilt in 1518 after an earthquake.
This part of Spain offers an excellent climate with the best sunshine records in Spain.

It is situated on the Costa Almeria, Andalucia, Spain's southernmost autonomous community on the Mediterranean side of Spain.
Vera Playa is at the same latitude as North Africa.

Blue skies, crystal clear seas and 322 days of sunshine a year all contribute to make this region the warmest along the Spanish coast and in the whole of mainland Europe.

The Mediterranean coast is 10km away from Vera town.

There are quite a number of complexes of "low rise" apartment blocks along the coast with about twelve that are exclusively for naturists.
One of which is the fully pedestrian complex of Vera Natura with direct access to the fine sandy beach.
