Vera (pop.6000), is a small town which was completely rebuilt in 1518 after an earthquake.
This part of Spain offers an excellent climate with the best sunshine records in Spain.
It is situated on the Costa Almeria, Andalucia, Spain's southernmost province on the Mediterranean side of Spain. Vera Playa is at the same latitude as North Africa. Blue skies, crystal clear seas and 322 days of sunshine a year all contribute to make this region the warmest along the Spanish coast and in the whole of mainland Europe.
The Mediterranean coast is 4 km away. There are several complexes of "low rise" apartment blocks along the coast, some of which are exclusively for naturists.
One of them is the fully pedestrians complex Vera Natura, next to the fine sandy beach.
